The Eyewitness

Yesterday, we started our look at I John. John writes this from a unique perspective. His letter is to a church that has endured persecution. Having survived this, the church in enduring a new attack - people that have no direct knowledge of the life of Jesus. The church is, in many cases, finding itself a willing accomplice as it accepts teachings that deny the reality of who Jesus is and what it means to us.
Today, we face a similar situation. We live in a world that isn't necessarily interested in the truth of who Jesus is. To deal with this, we're taking a new look at what John writes to us. He is an eyewitness to the life of Jesus.

This can really take any format you want. Feel free to post your responses here. You may want to get a notebook instead and keep track of your responses or talk them over with someone else. The goal is to take some time each day and try to refill our cup.
With that in mind, look back at 1 John 1:1-4. Today we're getting a bonus - 2 questions for the price of 1
First, what are the doubts that your faith faces today?
Second, what truths of the faith are important to you? (I know that what we're supposed to say is that we believe all of them equally, but what aspect of your faith is the one you hold dearest, the one that you cling to no matter what?)
